BirdSpotter Photo Contest: Week 9 Winner!
January 16, 2013
Congratulations to Eileen Chorba of Beach Lake, PA, our winner for the ninth week of the BirdSpotter Photo Contest sponsored by Bob’s Red Mill! The theme for the week was “birds in flights”–Eileen did a fantastic job of catching this Great Blue Heron duo mid-flight!

Eileen Chorba submitted this winning photo of a pair of Great Blue Herons in flight in Promised Land, PA.
The tenth week of our BirdSpotter Photo Contest is already underway! This week’s theme is “birds at the feeder” so get your camera out while you do your FeederWatch count!. Only one photo can be submitted per person but you can vote for as many photos as you like. This week’s contest starts today Wednesday, January16th and runs through Sunday, January 20th.

I believe the Heron in the rear is nagging the forward bird about its leading ability.
Thank you for a beautiful photo showing the wide wing span of the Great Blue Herons
! We have them here on Prince of Wales Island, Alaska, and I love watching them.
Beautiful birds, my favorite. A thrill to see in flight!!
How do I enter this week’s contest? ( Birds at the feeder)
